Safe Trading

Advertisements listed on Buy N Sell Vanuatu.com are exactly that – advertisements. They are submitted by people not necessarily known by us.  The Buy N Sell Vanuatu team only knowingly posts items that are located WITHIN VANUATU. We do not post advertisements for items, products or services outside Vanuatu or items that need to be shipped or sent to Vanuatu via carriers or by post. Buy N Sell Vanuatu only supports local businesses & residents wishing to sell their new or secondhand items.

We do our utmost to screen ads before they go live on our site, but it is sometimes possible for criminals to carefully prepare ads designed to trick you & steal your money.

Therefore Buy N Sell Vanuatu recommends only ‘Face to Face’ trading. What does this mean? It means that you should view the item  IN PERSON before paying the seller IN PERSON.

NEVER TRANSFER MONEY TO A SELLER VIA PAYPAL, MONEY TRANSFER, WESTERN UNION OR ANY OTHER MEANS. If you do so you do at your own risk. This action also violates the Buy N Sell Vanuatu terms of use.  If you are currently overseas we recommend asking a friend or local resident who is in Vanuatu, to view the item & make a deposit on your behalf. This way the item can be verified.

If a seller only wants to communicate via email – it is more than likely a scam. If the item is located in Vanuatu, there is no reason why you should not be able to view it yourself before purchasing. 99% of the ads on Buy N Sell Vanuatu are legitimate, however we ask all shoppers to use caution when dealing with any sellers online.

Here is a checklist to follow when you are interested in an item listed on the site.

  • Always meet in person & view the item for yourself.
  • Never send money to anyone you have met on this website.
  • Establish communication with the seller by phone, not just by text or email.
  • If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
